GAMMA KAPPA IS IN THE QUEUE! Chapter Return to OCU is Eagerly Anticipated |

We are all aware of the sad news that our beloved Gamma Kappa undergraduate chapter left the Oklahoma City University campus a few short years ago. What many of us did not realize until recently was that we departed on good terms with both the university and the national leadership of Kappa Alpha Order, due to the foresight and hard work of a number of alumni active at the time, led by Brother David Price. Now, due to the hard work and paid dues of nearly eighty members of your newly chartered Oklahoma City Alumni Association, Gamma Kappa has once again garnered the attention of the OCU administration and the KA national Order. This time the point of discussion is when and how to return Gamma Kappa to the OCU campus. Members of the alumni association leadership team of Brothers Steve Knight (’70, president), Jim Lowder (’75, 1st vice president), David Price (’90, 2nd vice president) and Ron Eitzen (’59, chairman of the board) have met several times over the past ten months with OCU administration and with our national KA leadership to plan for the chapter return. We are hoping for approval of a rush event in the spring of 2012. Our role as alumni will be to raise funds for rush, scholarships and housing. |
